1. Scope of Services
RWF Home Improvements provides professional residential and commercial home improvement services, specializing in custom deck design and installation, fencing installation (wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link, farm and ranch), and window/door replacement.
2. Estimates and Consultations
- Free Estimates: All estimates provided by our online GroundQuote tool or on-site inspections are preliminary ranges. Final pricing is subject to a signed, written agreement after precise on-site measurements and project parameters are established.
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, preliminary estimates are not binding contracts.
- Validity: Written quotes are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issuance unless specified otherwise in writing.
3. Client Responsibilities
For on-site projects, the client is responsible for:
- Clearly identifying property boundaries.
- Obtaining any required Homeowners Association (HOA) approvals, neighborhood permits, or historical district approvals, unless specifically contractually agreed that RWF will handle them.
- Ensuring clear access to the work area, including clearing obstacles, pet waste, or securing animals.
- Locating and marking any private underground utilities or irrigation systems not marked by the public utility marking service (e.g., NC 811).
4. Payment Terms & Financing
- Deposit: A deposit may be required before materials are ordered and work is scheduled, as outlined in your individual contract.
- Final Payment: Balance payments are due immediately upon project completion, unless financing or alternative payment terms are arranged beforehand.
- Financing: Financing option approvals and terms are handled by third-party lending partners and are subject to credit approval and their respective terms.
5. Warranties
- Workmanship: RWF Home Improvements guarantees our installation workmanship for a period defined in your specific project contract.
- Materials: Material warranties (e.g., vinyl or aluminum manufacturer warranties) are passed directly from the manufacturer to the customer.
- Lifetime Wood Gate Warranty: Our lifetime warranty on custom wood gates covers gate sag and latch alignment issues under normal residential usage conditions, excluding damage from abuse, vehicles, or natural disasters.
6. Limitation of Liability
RWF Home Improvements is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our website or services. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the contract price paid for the specific service rendered.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any contract agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina.
